"Lion King" Sign In a South Korean Team

South Korean striker Lee Dong-woof, whose career was much hampered by injuries, including 23 players in South Korea's Huh Jung-moo farm that will go to the World Cup in South Africa।


31-year-old player who was nicknamed "Lion King" was not included in the 2006 World Cup team in Germany because of leg injuries and was not included in Guus Hiddink's team in 2002.

When she is currently having a rest, coach Huh said because of lack of solid defense line making it unable to leave Lee.

Huh did not include defender Shin Hyung-min, midfielders Koo Ja-cheol and forwards Lee Keun-ho in the team announced Monday, a day after South Korea's 0-1 defeat of Belarus in a friendly.

"In fact I do not have much choice striker and this makes me not able to remove it (Lee Dong-woof)," said Huh told reporters, adding, players are expected to appear before it in this week.

"If he can not appear in the first game against Greece, I hope the second and third game he was able to go down the field against Argentina and Nigeria," he said.

Huh said Lee Keun-ho had been given the opportunity to prove that she needed in the team, but he showed no effects, while performing very poorly Shin Sunday.
