ONDON: The question is what's dropping faster, her ranking or her clothes? While Ana Ivanovic's form on the only chart that counts in tennis plunged to 45, her popularity remained unaffected.
The 22-year-year-old former world No.1, of butterscotch complexion and unaffected charm, was voted the sexiest tennis player for the fifth year running.
The Serbian star, it appears, celebrated the verdict by posing in a pink bikini on a bed of matching tennis balls. That's not the only shot of Ana in two-piece briefs, though. She's also done one with a tennis net draped loosely around her.
The gorgeous ace, linked to tennis hunk Fernando Verdasco before Aussie golfer Adam Scott, has struggled with form since winning the French Open in 2008. The loss of form has reportedly resulted in mood swings more drastic than her racket preparation.
Still, it seems that Ana has made the most of the slip in the rankings. "I enjoy being photographed," she said in a recent interview. "You have your hair done, they do the make-up for you, dress you in nice clothes, every girl loves that."
The stylish pro, however, isn't the only gal on the tour who has gone with the briefer-the-better look this season. World No.1 Serena Williams in a high-heeled, chunky jewelry and little else, showed off her curves in another American magazine. Clad in a black swimsuit and full-sleeved jacket, the American is caught between a pout and a preen.
